4/7/2018 0 Comments Las Vegas, nEVADAThis Vegas trip was completely spontaneous and was planned about one hour before we actually hit the road. We chose Vegas first off because of the short drive (4.5 hours) from home and secondly because Christopher and I have never been just the two of us. Every time we’ve come to sin city our trip has been spent partying it up with friends and family, so this time we decided to spend our two days seeing new things and trying new foods and drinks. We got to Vegas later in the day so our first night was spent walking the strip and of course making a stop at Fat Tuesday’s. We stayed at the LinQ hotel and spent our first morning there relaxing at the pool. We decided to go early and beat the party crowd for a quick swim. Sprinkles cupcakes is one of my favorite dessert places and conveniently we have a location in AZ, however, I have always wanted to use a Sprinkles ATM! Lucky for us the LinQ includes the LinQ promenade which has a Sprinkles ATM, some shops, restaurants, art work, and of course the high roller Farris wheel. Christopher picked Wahlburgers for lunch which is Mark Whalburg’s brother’s restaurant. I don’t usually eat burgers but these were actually amazing and definitely worth trying. The restaurant was also priced reasonably well for being right on the strip. The remainder of our day was spent at the Venetian, we decided to go there for two reasons; one the architecture is absolutely amazing and two Carlos’ Bakery. I have a huge sweet tooth and I am a big fan of Cake Boss so it was a must for us to make a stop there. Unfortunately I couldn’t control myself and was not able to get a picture of our Irish cream “lobster tail” but it was to die for and thank goodness did NOT have any lobster in it! This was definitely one of the most spontaneous trips Christopher and I have taken but definitely just as rewarding as the rest of them. Later Vegas!
